The Alpini of the Taurinense at the World Cup 

The Italian Army’s “Brigata Alpina Taurinense”  will make a double contribution to the Ski World Cup. More than 50 Alpine soldiers of the 3rd Pinerolo regiment have been contributing since last 28 November to the preparation of the race tracks, as well as to the preparation of the parterre, while on the highlight day, between the first and second manche of the giant slalom, the Fanfara della Taurinense, always present at the major events at Sestriere, will perform. From a logistical point of view, the 3rd Regiment Alpini will provide pneumatic tents for the start and finish areas, and will employ a snow caterpillar to transport people and materials within the ski area.
