With the bib draw and start list for the first run of the Giant Slalom on Friday 21st February, the Audi Fis Ski World Cup Sestriere competition got underway. The Kandahar G.A. Agnelli course in Sestriere is already set for the first run scheduled at 10.30 am, while the second will start at 1.30 pm.

The first athlete to hit the track will be Paula Moltzan (USA), followed by World Cup overall leader Federica Brignone (ITA) and Lara Gut-Behrami (SUI). Bib number 8 for Michaela Shiffrin (USA), on her return to the Giant Slalom after the fall in Cortina, looking in Sestriere for 100th victory in World Cup.

Bib number 10 for Marta Bassino, winner at Sestriere in the Giant Slalom in 2022 who, in her home race, is expected to return to redemption to shine again in front of the always warm and large crowd at Sestriere. Home race also for Lara Colturi: the 18-year-old who races for the colours of Albania will race with number 13. Number 16 for Sofia Goggia ready to return to the top spot. Asja Zenere (No. 20), Elisa Platino (No. 32), Ilaria Ghisalberti (No. 36) Lara Della Mea (No. 39), Roberta Melesi (No. 47), Sophie Mathieu (No. 52), Alessia Guerinoni (No. 59) and Giorgia Collomb (No. 60) are the other Italians competing.

Please note that for the race on Friday 21 February, access is free to grandstands and parterre. The race is broadcast worldwide by numerous television stations, such as Rai 2 and Eurosport live for Italy.
